Today, we wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to all of our country's veterans who have bravely served our country throughout the years. Carrie's own Boompa, Albert Wray, served in the US Army during WW2 and flew a B-26 Marauder. He was decorated with a Distinguished Flying Cross and an Air Medal for flying over 30 missions.
We decided to pour one out for all of the amazing veterans who served our country, and honor them with Boompa's favorite drink: a classic Gin Martini. See below for the recipe from Chowhound.

Perfect Classic Gin Martini:
• Place a cocktail glass in the freezer to chill.
• Combine the gin and vermouth in a shaker, fill it halfway with ice, and stir vigorously until well chilled, about 20 seconds. Strain into the chilled glass. Garnish with olives or a twist of lemon. (If using a twist, be sure to run the slice over the glass’s rim.)
